All year I have been getting stick about my Son catching more than me. He has attended loads of kayak fishing meets this year and we have enjoyed some really memorable trips, which hopefully he will remember in years to come. 😎

We had countless trips on the local river, but probably the most enjoyable trips were with Anglers Afloat. They included the disability day at Llangorse in Wales; a great cause and great people (it really was a flaming June Day).

Then there was the RNLI demo day at Mudeford in Dorset in July – paddling around Christchurch harbour and his first taste of fishing at sea – true to form, he caught a bream.

On to North Devon in August; his confidence building for some surf entries – some really big waves – but he held his nerve and overcame his fears. His reward was more fish, which tasted great on the barbeque !

Then Ladram Bay in Spetember. Connor had made alot of friends from Anglers Afloat meets – and all of them were there for John and Helen’s wedding. It was the pinnacle of a great year and it couldn’t have been much better…
